MY MISSION AND HOW I WORK
At Self Made Mental Health, I am passionate about empowering couples, families and individuals to take control of their mental well-being as they create a version of themselves that they are not only settled with, but actually quite like! My mission as a therapist is to share useful and effective mental health resources and solutions which help people to overcome their challenges. With an innovative and integrative approach, I aim to break the stigma surrounding mental health while promoting a self-awareness and acceptance of all parts of us. Of course, this takes time and sometimes a lot of work, but I believe this process can be, quite literally, life-changing!

I will always bring a sense of curiosity and realness into the room, no matter what the subject, and welcome all parts of your experience - especially those that may feel confusing, painful, or hard to name. I am active and engaged in sessions but always strive to go at a pace that feels right for you, whether you're looking to explore something in depth, work out a difficult relationship challenge or simply need space to feel supported and seen.

As a systemically trained therapist, I also pay close attention to the wider social and cultural contexts that shape our lives - whether that's around neurodivergence, sexuality, gender, race, class, faith, or the impact of growing up in environments that didn’t always feel safe or validating. These experiences matter and are all welcome in the therapy space.
